What You Will Do

This internship is for a student who will be entering their Senior or Post-Graduate year by the start of Summer 2027.

The Software organization builds software applications, including integration and testing for missiles, launchers, radars, naval systems, fire control and other complex systems. Its precision software and firmware combine operating systems, device drivers, networking and control software to bring together sensors, guidance and flight control processing. The organization includes several centers across the country and more than 4,000 software engineers.

Engineers on this team design and build solutions for the U.S. Government. You will work on a fast-paced agile team across areas such as:

• Real-time systems design
• Command and control systems
• Machine learning and autonomous systems
• Cyber security
• DevOps technologies and methods

You will apply company and industry best practices to help develop, deploy, implement and support unit, integration and regression testing, including whitebox, blackbox, boundary, parameter and exception testing.

What You Will Learn

• Software unit test methodology for mission critical software components
• Modern agile practices such as DevSecOps and their tools (Jira, GitLab, Confluence, etc.)
