Cybersecurity Technology Development Program

Overview

Participants join the Bank's Technology Development Program (TDP), a two-year development program that builds technical expertise in Cybersecurity. Across the two years, participants support two Cybersecurity teams, gaining exposure to several cybersecurity disciplines while building technical skills, business acumen, and a foundation for a long-term Cybersecurity career.

Vulnerability Risk Management

The Vulnerability Risk Management team strengthens M&T's cybersecurity posture by identifying, assessing, and prioritizing technology vulnerabilities across the enterprise. Using enterprise security tools and risk management practices, the team works with technology partners to track remediation, reduce cybersecurity risk, and protect the Bank's systems and information assets. Team members collaborate with Cybersecurity and Technology stakeholders to address emerging risks and improve the organization's overall security posture.

Primary Responsibilities

• Mentor with experienced technology staff to build in-depth technical skills in Cybersecurity.
• Complete a series of rotations across Cybersecurity disciplines over a set timeframe, gaining a broader understanding of how each is used at the Bank and how they work together to deliver solutions and services to internal and external customers.
• Determine post-program assignment in one of the core areas through career path design, performance assessment, and interest.
• Understand and follow the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in line with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues that need escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and any issues raised by external regulators, as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities

The Technology Development Program is a rotational training program for Bachelor's degree holders in a technical discipline. The program is flexible so the jobholder can shape their career and expand their career objectives. It combines career planning, technical and competency-based training, mentorship, and challenging assessments designed to accelerate one's career with the Bank.
