Overview

Participants join the Bank's Technology Development Program (TDP), a two-year program that builds technical expertise in Cybersecurity. Across the two years, participants get hands-on experience with two Cybersecurity teams, which exposes them to several cybersecurity disciplines while they build technical skills, business acumen, and a foundation for a long-term Cybersecurity career.

Workforce Identity & Access Management

The Workforce Identity & Access Management (WIAM) team makes sure employees and contingent workers have the right access to M&T systems, applications, and information. The team runs identity governance, access provisioning, and access management processes that keep access secure and compliant across the enterprise. Team members work with technology, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to strengthen access controls, support regulatory requirements, and protect the Bank's systems and data from unauthorized access.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work with experienced technology staff to build in-depth technical skills in Cybersecurity.
• Complete a series of rotations within Cybersecurity over a set timeframe to understand how each area serves the Bank and how the areas work together to deliver solutions and services to internal and external customers.
• Determine a post-program assignment in one of the core areas through career path design, performance assessment, and personal interest.
• Understand and follow the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in line with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues that need escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and any issues raised by external regulators.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Program Scope

The Technology Development Program is a rotational training program for individuals holding a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. The program is flexible so participants can shape their careers and expand their goals. It combines career planning, technical and competency-based training, mentorship, and challenging assessments designed to accelerate careers with the Bank.
