What You Will Do

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday co-op running January through August, including the Spring semester. Students are expected to take a semester off from coursework to fully take part in this working mentorship.

• Work with a team of systems and software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for solutions integrated into helicopters and airplanes.
• Apply soft skills such as leadership, communication, coordination, and proactiveness in a fast-paced setting that delivers quality, timely products to internal and external customers.
• Travel domestically and internationally (less than 10%) as needed.

What You Will Learn

• Build knowledge of software engineering and flight management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to draft system and/or software requirements.
• Pilot or avionics experience (for example, private pilot, aircraft maintenance, or DO-178 certification).
• Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
