We are looking for top talent for the TDS Clinical Operations Co-Op based in Malvern, PA.

  • One vacancy is currently available.
  • The co-op term is typically six months, running from January to June 2027 (flexible).
  • This is a full-time role (40 hours per week), fully on-site.

Purpose

The TDS Malvern Clinical Operations organization is seeking a motivated Co-Op to support day-to-day Pilot Plant operations and manufacturing activities. The role offers hands-on experience with new product introduction (NPI) technology transfers, capital projects, Pilot Plant expansion, continuous improvement initiatives, and technical operations.

The Co-Op will work alongside cross-functional teams on manufacturing and project activities while building practical experience in experimental execution, data analysis, technical documentation, and operational problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting day-to-day Pilot Plant and manufacturing operations.
  • Supporting technology transfer activities related to New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Contributing to capital projects and Pilot Plant expansion activities.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Assisting with laboratory and technical activities associated with ongoing projects.
  • Analyzing and interpreting experimental and operational results using analytical and statistical techniques.
  • Participating in technical discussions and Design of Experiments (DOE) activities to address knowledge gaps and support project objectives.
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners and taking part in project meetings.
  • Maintaining accurate laboratory notebooks, technical documentation, and project records according to established guidelines.
  • Communicating project progress, findings, and results to relevant stakeholders.
  • Providing additional technical and project support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Completion of undergraduate freshman year at an accredited university is required.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, reflecting all college coursework.
  • No summer internship contract or other employment commitment that could interfere with the contract dates for this position.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret experimental or technical data.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and initiatives while delivering results.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter while contributing to team goals.

Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) now or in the future. Students on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long-term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous laboratory, academic research, or technical project experience.
  • Basic laboratory skills and familiarity with laboratory environments.
  • Experience with experimental design, execution, and data analysis.
  • Interest or exposure to manufacturing operations, technology transfer, New Product Introduction (NPI), or continuous improvement.
  • Interest in Pilot Plant operations and pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership through academic projects, student organizations, campus programs, or community involvement.
