Join Amgen's Mission of Serving Patients

At Amgen, our shared mission is to serve patients living with serious illnesses, and that mission guides everything we do. Since 1980, we have helped pioneer biotech in the fight against some of the world's toughest diseases.

We focus on four therapeutic areas: Oncology, Inflammation, General Medicine, and Rare Disease. As part of the team, you will help research, manufacture, and deliver medicines that help people live longer, fuller, happier lives.

What You Will Do

This grad internship runs about 13 weeks and combines project-based work with experiential learning. Alongside your project, you will take part in training sessions, one-on-one mentoring, and networking events.

Operations is one of three foundational functions at Amgen. It works to manufacture and deliver safe, effective medicine to patients worldwide, and is divided into five sub-functions: Supply Chain, Process Development, Quality, Manufacturing, and Facilities & Engineering.

You will lead initiatives, strategic analysis, and business case development on cross-functional projects. Your work will help deliver Amgen's new advanced technology assembly and packaging site in Ohio, with a focus on making recommendations to senior leadership.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Developing a project charter that sets objectives, identifies key stakeholders, and outlines timelines and deliverables
  • Working across functions to define the problem, measure the current state, build recommendations through qualitative and quantitative analysis, and present findings at an intern-wide poster session and a final readout to executive management
  • Networking with colleagues across the company and accessing Amgen's Employee Resource Groups

What You Can Expect of Us

Amgen supports your professional and personal growth and well-being, from competitive benefits to a collaborative culture.

  • Build a network of colleagues that will last well beyond your time here
  • Bring your authentic self and grow into the professional you want to be in a culture that values diverse thinking and experience
  • Take part in executive and social networking events and community volunteer projects

In any materials you submit, you may redact age-identifying information such as age, date of birth, or dates of school attendance or graduation, without penalty.

Amgen is an Equal Opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability status, or any other basis protected by law.
