Join Amgen's Mission of Serving Patients

At Amgen, our shared mission is to serve patients living with serious illnesses, and that mission guides everything we do. Since 1980, we have helped pioneer biotech in the fight against some of the world's toughest diseases. We focus on four therapeutic areas: Oncology, Inflammation, General Medicine, and Rare Disease, and we reach millions of patients each year.

Our culture is collaborative, innovative, and science based. If you enjoy challenges, you will thrive here while transforming the lives of patients and your own career.

What You Will Do

We are offering a co-op opportunity beginning in January 2027. As a co-op student, you will work with cross-functional teams at Puerto Rico's End-to-End Manufacturing Site, gaining hands-on experience while supporting the Facilities and Engineering department and the Pest Control/Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program.

  • Learn through on-the-job training that builds practical experience, new skills, and applied knowledge.
  • Conduct structured field assessments around selected AML buildings to find outdoor conditions that may influence pest activity. Document soil and drainage conditions, areas of water accumulation, trees, ornamental vegetation, and other relevant environmental factors.
  • Help drive improvements in operational efficiency and productivity, using AI and other technology tools.
  • Gather, organize, and document field observations and related project information.
  • Assist with assessment methods and tools based on project needs and approvals.
  • Work with the F&E Pest Control/IPM Program, Facilities, Landscaping, EHS, Security, service providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Review findings with project partners to identify potential risks and prevention opportunities.
  • Prepare maps, inventories, technical summaries, a final report, and a presentation of prioritized observations and recommended next steps.
  • Prepare summaries, presentations, and recommendations for stakeholder review.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.

What We Expect of You

We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual who meets the program requirements. Occasional outdoor fieldwork in varying weather and site conditions is part of the role, and safety requirements must be followed.

What You Can Expect of Us

We support your professional and personal growth and well-being, with competitive benefits and a collaborative culture.

  • Build a network of colleagues that will last throughout your time with us and beyond.
  • Bring your authentic self to work in a culture that values diversity of thought and experience.
  • Take part in executive and social networking events, team building activities, workshops, and more.
