What You Will Do

The Software organization builds software applications, including integration and testing, for missiles, launchers, radars, naval systems, fire control and other complex systems. Our precision software and firmware combine operating systems, device drivers, networking and control software to bring sensors, guidance and flight control processing together to complete the mission.

The Software org includes several Centers across the country, covering every part of the software development lifecycle. Our 4000+ software engineers design and build innovative solutions for our customers. Join fast-paced agile teams working at the leading edge of technology.

Our engineers build innovative solutions for the U.S. Government and take part in every stage of the development lifecycle on agile teams focused on:

• Real-time systems design
• Digital signal processing
• Machine Learning and Autonomous Systems
• Cyber Security
• DevOps technologies and methods

We are looking for curious, creative problem solvers who want to design and implement highly innovative systems. You will learn advanced software engineering practices and apply new technologies to build next generation capabilities that help keep our country safe.

This position is onsite in Marlborough or Tewksbury, Massachusetts. The co-op runs from January 2027 to August 2027 and is full time.

• Help with requirements, design, development and testing of application software and tools, including new work products or improvements to existing systems.
• Design, code, test, integrate and document software solutions.
• Take part in internal review of software components and systems.
• Work with project managers and other Engineering professionals.
• Work on problems with defined scope, schedule and expectations.
• Follow established development practices to maintain configuration management of software products.
• Obtain and maintain a U.S. security interim clearance before the start date. U.S. citizenship is required.

• Knowledge of C/C++ programming and structured programming concepts.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design and Unified Modeling Language.
• Knowledge of statistical and numerical methods.

• ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with colleagues and leaders in a team setting.
