Overview

Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) organization runs one of the largest and most advanced global datacenter infrastructures in the world. It delivers secure, compliant, cost-effective, and highly available cloud services that customers rely on.

As a Business Program Manager Intern in the Executive Office supporting the President, you will play a key role as an operational integrator across CO+I. You will connect leaders, teams, priorities, and operating mechanisms so the organization works as one system. The role offers horizontal support across Strategy & Planning, Delivery & Execution, and DC Operations teams, closes functional gaps, improves handoffs, and keeps decisions tied to execution.

This role helps build and sustain the organization's operating model through Rhythm of Business (ROB), governance, performance reporting, budgeting, workforce planning, executive communications, and business data management. You will use systems thinking to anticipate downstream impacts, resolve friction across organizational boundaries, and design scalable mechanisms that improve end-to-end performance. A strong candidate sets a high bar for first-pass quality and makes sure analyses, reports, communications, and decision materials are accurate, complete, and ready for leadership before review.

Interns at Microsoft work on real-world projects with teams around the world, and have fun along the way. You will have the chance to build community, explore your interests, and reach your goals. This is your opportunity to bring your solutions and ideas to life while working on cutting-edge technology.

Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Employees come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to reach shared goals. Every day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
