Overview

Come build community, explore your passions, and do your best work at Microsoft alongside thousands of university interns from around the world. This opportunity lets you bring your aspirations, talent, and potential to the journey ahead.

As a Product Manager Intern, you will define product vision and strategy by drawing on a deep understanding of the customer experience and the competitive market. You will identify short- and long-term investment opportunities, weigh tradeoffs, and drive the product roadmap. You will also build consensus on product strategy and define features, vision, and goals for a specific product or set of features.

Interns at Microsoft work on real-world projects with teams across the world. You will be empowered to build community, pursue your passions, and reach your goals, bringing your ideas to life on cutting-edge technology.

Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. With a growth mindset culture, the company innovates responsibly and measures success by shared progress for people, teams, and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and track key results, success criteria, and performance metrics. Partner with Software and Hardware Engineering to identify needed data and make sure telemetry is developed.
  • Determine which features or experiences to prioritize in the roadmap to support success criteria and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and gather input on priorities and resources needed for a single feature.
  • Iterate on multiple designs with Design, Software Engineering, and Hardware Engineering. Help facilitate reviews (such as UX, system, and data designs) with customers to confirm usability, accessibility criteria, and that updated designs meet customer goals.
  • Work with Product Marketing, Business Planning, and Engineering to define product release criteria, customer acquisition, and usage.
