KLA's Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells the company's product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Its inspection, metrology and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials.
The Broadband Plasma (BBP) division makes a market-leading optical inspection system used by logic, foundry and memory customers to detect critical defects at advanced nodes. These tools pair broadband plasma technology with high sensitivity and speed to support high-volume manufacturing.
Our team builds the distributed software behind high-end semiconductor inspection systems. System-level testing of that software often needs real hardware or large dedicated test environments, which are costly and slow to set up. This summer you will help change that.
You will build containerized test harnesses that emulate multi-node distributed systems on a single server. The harnesses start when a test run needs them and shut down when it finishes. You will:
You will see how large distributed systems are built and tested in production, and gain hands-on experience with containers, test automation and CI. Your work will make a measurable difference in developer productivity and infrastructure cost.
KLA provides advanced inspection tools, metrology systems, process solutions and computational analytics that make electronics possible. The company works from electron and photon optics to machine learning and data analytics, pursuing perfection at the most fundamental level of matter.
KLA's total rewards package may include performance incentive programs and eligibility for benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life and other voluntary benefits, 401(k) with company matching, an employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement, career growth programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off, paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.
Interns are eligible for some of these benefits. Pay ranges are determined by role, level and location, and the range shown reflects this position in the primary location. Actual pay depends on factors such as state minimum wage rates, location, job-related skills, experience and education or training.
