About Orthopaedics

Our Orthopaedics teams are developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, and more personalized treatments by combining biology and technology. They help keep more than 6 million people moving each year while delivering clinical and economic value to surgeons and healthcare systems. Their work spans joint reconstruction; trauma and craniomaxillofacial; sports, extremities, and elective foot and ankle; spine; and robotics and digital surgery.

Interns

Interns play an important role in growing our business. The program offers business problems to solve, coaching, mentoring, and networking opportunities. You will work on projects that build your leadership and professional skills while learning the orthopedics business, and you will be part of an internship cohort of peers for learning, networking, and development sessions.

We plan to hire a number of positions across multiple specialties and departments.

About our Internships

• A typical internship runs from May or June through mid-August. Based on business needs and performance, there may be an opportunity for a subsequent 2028 internship or, where applicable, a full-time offer starting June 2028.
• Assignments are located at a J&J corporate office, although some roles may be virtual or may require relocation.
• Assignment area and work site are matched during the application process.
• Some on-site roles may offer a housing stipend if you live more than 50 miles from the location.

Available Area

Marketing

• Brand marketing that supports current products in market, or upstream global strategic marketing that supports product innovation and commercialization.
• Supports the commercial organization through primary and secondary research, forecasting, and analytics to generate business insights on external markets.

Responsibilities vary by team needs. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and possibly other interns. Past interns have worked on social media campaigns, marketing analyses, auditing, and internal marketing proposals.

• Build a stakeholder network within and outside your assigned department.
• Complete projects that vary by function, independently or as part of a team, addressing strategic business issues.
• Present final projects to key stakeholders within the department.
