Job Description

The Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Co-op will support engineering projects in a manufacturing setting, gaining hands-on experience in product design, process improvement, and equipment maintenance. You will work closely with experienced engineers to support ongoing operations, put improvements in place, and help ensure product quality. The ideal candidate is keen on mechanical systems, enjoys solving problems, and can apply classroom learning to real-world challenges.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and tools is a plus.

Work Conditions

• Industrial worksite environment
• Ability to work in a noisy environment that is open to the elements, with exposure to fumes and solvents
• Proper personal protective equipment is required at all times, such as safety shoes, ear plugs or ear muffs, safety glasses, and respirator use
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Standing, walking, climbing, balancing, gripping, grasping, carrying, and pushing/pulling required more than 90% of the time
• Kneeling, crouching, squatting, and twisting required intermittently on a daily basis
