Job Description/Responsibilities

KLA is looking for motivated students who want hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology. Interns will contribute to projects at the Ann Arbor, Michigan location this summer.

You will work directly on developing sub-assemblies for KLA's inspection and metrology tools used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You will collaborate with fellow interns and experienced engineers on a focused part of a larger initiative, gaining real-world experience in a dynamic, team-oriented setting.

As an intern, you will:

• Design 3D CAD models of mechanical parts and assemblies
• Create and maintain engineering documentation
• Perform basic analytical modeling to support design decisions
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including electrical, optical, systems, and software engineers
• Procure components and materials for prototyping
• Assemble and test your designs in a laboratory setting

Qualifications/Education Desired

The ideal candidate has completed fundamental coursework in mechanical design and manufacturing and has basic CAD software skills. Familiarity with PTC Creo and Ansys is a strong plus.
