UX Research Intern (San Diego)

Team Overview

We are the Experience Team (EX). We include Product Designers, UX Researchers, Technical Writers, Design Operations, Design Technologists and Visual Designers.

Our success comes from diverse people working together to build innovative software that makes workflows smarter. We welcome people from all professional and personal backgrounds to drive passion and innovation across our products.

We are looking for students who want to learn, grow and make an early impact. We offer 12-week summer internships across several business functions.

Our team uses AI across the research lifecycle, from planning and synthesis to reporting. Interns will learn how we apply it responsibly and may contribute a reusable workflow of their own.

Interns take part in an executive speaker series, career development workshops, philanthropic efforts and team building activities. They also get access to LinkedIn Learning and a dedicated Summer Coach.

We hire in multiple locations, including but not limited to Santa Clara, CA, San Diego, CA, West Palm Beach, FL and other areas. Work location will be decided based on team growth strategies.

Responsibilities

• Represent the needs of customers and their end users, gathered through various research methods from discovery through design validation.
• Take part in planning, facilitation, analysis and reporting for research initiatives.
• Communicate findings through artifacts such as personas, journeys and task analyses with your core team.
• Work closely with Sr UX staff to shape product strategy and roadmaps using validated research findings.
• Support formative and summative design validation through iterative usability testing.
• Use AI-assisted workflows to speed up planning, transcript analysis and synthesis, and check every output against the source data.
• Help evaluate and improve AI-enabled research tools and workflows, and measure their effect on team efficiency.
