What You Will Do

As a Mechanical Design Intern at Pratt & Whitney, you will:

• Work on the full PW engine product line, including the next generation of commercial and military engines.
• Support hardware responsibilities for components in the compressor, turbine and bearing compartments.
• Develop conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs of gas turbine hardware.
• Manage design configuration, including cost, weight and producibility requirements.
• Take part in multidisciplinary teams to develop and produce new hardware.
• Help advance gas turbine technology and mechanical design methods.
• Support design reviews and carry out Engineering Standard Work.
• Provide production, field investigation and aftermarket technical support.
