What You Will Do

As a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern at Collins Aerospace, you will support activities in the Rotating Machinery Design Engineering Group. The role covers engineering work tied to the design, development, testing, qualification and production support of components in Power & Controls. The intern also supports hardware issues and improvements after program development and entry into service. Primary responsibilities may include:

• Taking an active part in the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT), including communication, risk management and project requirements
• Supporting design and testing activities
• Organizing and executing several complex tasks
• Supporting sustaining activities
• Supporting cost reduction projects
• Supporting mechanical, structural and aero-thermal analyses
