Aguadilla Hiring Design Engineer Co-Op (Hybrid)

This co-op runs Monday to Friday from January to June. Students are expected to step away from coursework to fully take part in this working mentorship.

The position is based at the Aguadilla, PR location. You must live in Puerto Rico when employment starts. Relocation is not offered.

What You Will Do

• Design major components or major portions of functional systems, advanced prototypes and specific products using computer design and engineering systems.
• Evaluate design factors such as ease of manufacture, material and equipment availability, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-to-weight efficiency, contractual specifications and cost.
• Provide analytical support across design, production manufacturing and field support.
• Analyze and resolve quality non-conformances (QNs) for new parts and supplier requests for information (SRIs).
• Communicate in English (reading, writing and speaking) with customers, co-workers and supervisors who speak only English.

About Hot Section Engineering

Hot Section Engineering handles design, development, technology maturation and in-service support for diffuser cases, combustors, turbines (vanes, blades, rotors and cases), augmenters (military), nozzles and related fuel systems across military, commercial and industrial engine models, plus radial auxiliary power units.

Key technical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Durability and Product Definition.

This position is classified as Hybrid. Hybrid employees work regularly both onsite and offsite, with three days onsite in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and two days remote, following the schedule set by the Manager.
