Department Overview

The Printed Circuit Board Design Operations team brings electronic circuits to life in physical form. Using layout software, the PCB design process combines component placement and routing to define electrical connectivity on a manufactured circuit board.

Job Description

This position requires ECAD electrical schematic capture and physical layout tool experience, or a strong desire to learn these skills. The intern can expect to take part in the following tasks:

• Plan and assist with the design layout of components, products and circuit boards
• Make enhancements and modifications to design layouts
• Ensure designs are free of process defects
• Perform high-density routing, develop symbols, and generate files, reports and electronic PCB documentation
• Develop methods to improve productivity

The intern must be comfortable working on a computer for long periods and be a fast learner.

Basic Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Architecture Design, Industrial Design or a related field.
• Must graduate on or after December 2027.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, or a master's student with work authorization (F-1 visa on CPT accepted for master's-level students only).
