The Electrical Engineering team in Schaumburg, IL designs digital solutions for the Mission Critical Communications market, including Public Safety. The team develops Digital, RF, Mechanical and Power Supply solutions to meet customer needs.

Job Description

This summer internship focuses mainly on FPGA design for Infrastructure products. You will work under the guidance of a seasoned professional to support design analysis and validation of RF Site product development.

Scope of Responsibilities

• Support FPGA development, starting with capturing requirements
• Write code in C, VHDL and Verilog
• Write test scripts in Python, use diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems, and document device interface specifications
• Apply digital design knowledge and perform interface analysis for FPGAs (required)
• Perform bench-level testing using an oscilloscope, DC power supply and multimeter (required)

Basic Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering
• Expected graduation date on or after December 2027
• US citizen, permanent resident, or MS student with work authorization (F1 visa on CPT accepted for master's-level students only)
