Corporate Strategy develops and carries out long-term business plans, strategic initiatives and growth frameworks across the enterprise. The team helps executive leadership and business units improve performance, respond to market shifts and drive sustainable growth for MSI.

Job Description

Motorola Solutions offers a 12-week, full-time paid internship designed to give you hands-on experience with real problems that need real solutions. You will work alongside senior strategy team members on strategic planning, market insights, quantitative analysis and financial modeling.

Corporate Strategy Intern Responsibilities

• Support the strategic planning process by analyzing industry trends, the competitive landscape, organic and inorganic growth opportunities and related topics.
• Build statistical models to identify key trends and patterns in external and internal data, forecast business performance and simulate the impact of potential strategic options.
• Conduct research and benchmark industry best practices.
• Collaborate with other members of the strategy team on individual and group projects.
• Work with interns and staff from other departments, including Marketing, Sales, Finance, Product Management and the Chief Technology Office.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to identify correlation and causation and draw insights from multiple factors.
• Strong strategic thinking, analysis and problem solving skills.
• Experience with statistical analysis and financial modeling.
• Ability to break complex problems into simple, easy-to-understand parts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management skills, including project structuring and managing several work streams at once.
• Comfort working in fast-paced, rapidly evolving environments.
• High proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and PowerPoint or Google Slides.

Travel

Travel requirements are under 10%. Relocation assistance is not provided.
