Department Description

The Consumer ILN Insurance Servicing team handles two core functions for indirect auto, boat, and RV loans: insurance claim assistance and optional product cancellations. Insurance claim assistance covers total loss and endorsements. If a customer is involved in an accident resulting in a total loss or requiring insurance-covered repairs, the team assists with insurance claims, GAP claims, product cancellations, and check processing to repair facilities. Optional products work covers cancelling ancillary products financed within indirect loans at total loss, repossession, early payoff, or customer request. The team prepares products, uses a vendor to distribute cancellation notices and gather refund amounts, then verifies refund accuracy before issuing refunds via loan payment or check.

Primary Responsibilities

• Complete duties and responsibilities of an entry-level professional nature specific to the assigned area of the Bank.
• Ensure activities adhere to established internal policies and external regulations as applicable.
• Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Design, implement, maintain, and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and issues raised by external regulators.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

The successful candidate's combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform specific compensation.
