Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer Intern in Orlando, FL. You will develop and maintain embedded software and/or desktop applications. Work includes requirements, design, coding, testing, and integrating software for an embedded multi-core system, along with desktop applications that emulate sensors and countermeasures. The ideal candidate has a solid grasp of object-oriented C++ and experience with Linux.

Candidates must be US citizens and need a clearance at the level listed in the posting, or the ability to obtain one if none is listed. The candidate may also need approval to work in a Special Access Program (SAP) before starting.

What You Will Be Doing

• Develop embedded software, including drivers, state machines, and multi-threaded applications.
• Integrate complex algorithms into C++ applications.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software for logical and mathematical solutions and for controlling tactical hardware.
• Use computer hardware and software knowledge, including AI tools used responsibly under Lockheed, contractual, and government policies, to speed up documentation, development, and functional testing.
• Help create detailed design architectures and keep architecture and source code aligned.
