Grand Prairie TX Hiring Embedded Software Engineer Intern

Lockheed Martin is looking for an Embedded Software Engineering Intern to support the Grand Prairie, TX site of Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). As a Software Engineer Intern at MFC, you will join a large network of software professionals and work with current and new development platforms. You will help address difficult challenges across areas such as aircraft flight command and control, air traffic control, health care, and homeland defense. MFC is a matrix engineering and technology organization, so you may work on multiple programs over your career.

What You Will Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Developing software
• Integrating features and algorithms into C/C++ applications
• Planning, conducting, and coordinating software development activities
• Designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software that provides logical and mathematical solutions to business and mission problems
• Applying knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter, and information processing techniques to build software, using input from system users
• Correcting program errors, preparing operating instructions, compiling program development documentation, and analyzing system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output, input data, programming techniques, and controls

Pay and Benefits

The full-time salary range is $20.14 to $28.15 per hour. Pay is based on factors such as scope of the position, work experience, education and training, key skills, and market and business considerations. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, flexible work arrangements (e.g., 4x10), 401(k) match, paid time off, holidays, parental leave, EAP, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, life insurance, and short-term and long-term disability. Annual incentive compensation may be offered depending on the position and is not guaranteed.
