Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2027 Ground Systems Software Engineer Intern. You will work with teams to develop software fixes for applications currently in use in the fleet, and update model based system engineering (MBSE) diagrams using Cameo. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of design, coding, and testing.

Applicants must be US citizens. This position requires a government security clearance and is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related STEM major
• Basic knowledge of the engineering process
• Familiarity with software testing

Desired Skills

• Proficiency in a programming language (such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript)
• Basic knowledge of Linux development environments
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes or cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google)
• Basic knowledge of version control, such as branching, merging, and pull requests in Git
• Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies
