Innovation & Technology Software Engineering Internship

Position Summary

This is a 10.5-week full-time internship running from May 24, 2027 to August 4, 2027.

The role is hybrid and based in New York, NY, with three in-office days per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The remaining two days may be worked remotely from home or another location of your choice. Relocation assistance is provided for candidates who need to move more than 50 miles.

The hourly rate is $51.60, based on a 40-hour workweek. The internship includes two days of paid leave and no work on the July 4 company holiday. Corporate interns also have an increased likelihood of receiving an offer for a future role with CVS Health.

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role, including Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT) and F-1 visa programs.

What You Will Do

As a Software Engineering intern, you will build software that brings data and AI into real-world applications. Working with experienced software engineers, data engineers and product partners, you will develop APIs and backend services, connect applications with enterprise data, and help deliver AI-enabled solutions in the cloud.

• Design, build and test applications, APIs and microservices
• Develop data integrations and services that connect applications with enterprise data
• Contribute to AI and Generative AI solutions, including LLM-powered applications, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and automation
• Deploy and troubleshoot cloud-native solutions using code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD
• Contribute to solutions that improve health care quality, affordability and outcomes
