What the Internship Program Offers

Key's Enterprise Internship is a 10.5-week program built around meaningful work. Interns receive feedback and coaching and take part in engaging events that aim to build interest in a full-time career at Key.

Interns work on line of business projects that directly support Key's business and strategic priorities. The program includes networking with Key teammates at all levels, a series of Learning Labs with internal and external speakers covering competitive trends, financial wellness, and professional development, and an assigned mentor who shares knowledge and advice.

Commercial at Key offers a full range of financial solutions for middle market and institutional clients, supporting their growth, liquidity, and risk management needs. Key stands out through its industry expertise, insight, and capital markets solutions. Services include lending, commercial payments (treasury), and advisory support.

About the Internship

As an intern, you will contribute to a variety of projects while working closely with experienced professionals. The role focuses on credit and lending (relationship management) within the Salt Lake City market. You will work directly with senior bankers and Commercial Analysts and gain hands-on exposure to the Commercial Lending business, as well as other segments of the Commercial Bank.

Responsibilities

• Learn to analyze commercial loan requests, including reviewing financial statement spreads, calculating key financial ratios, and assessing the borrower's business and financial integrity.
• Work with designated teams to keep credit system data accurate.
• Work with clients to collect the financial statements needed to monitor performance on time.
• Work with support partners on system maintenance to ensure proper portfolio assignments, and with Relationship Managers to keep pipeline activity in Salesforce accurate.
• Complete a Capstone Project that applies what you learned during the internship across credit, business analytics, and client-facing deliverables or pitches.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the goals of the relationship management teams.
