About this Role

Assist project engineers with the design, development and release of new Carrier Transicold Container transportation products. You will support new product development and product improvement projects from concept stage through production, and help project engineers evaluate field failures, perform failure analysis and implement corrective action plans on time.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of electrical and mechanical systems for container refrigeration units
• Design and implement required experimental facilities, plan and supervise experiments and monitor data acquisition
• Plan and conduct lab experiments using modeling tools
• Hands-on experience in a related field or prior experience is desired
• Self-motivated problem solver for system design challenges

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in mechanical design
• Experience with wiring, connectors and harnessing
• Familiarity with HVAC&R equipment and systems
• Experience in new product design and qualification
• Proficient in modern experimental methods, instrumentation and measurement systems
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Self-directed and highly motivated
• Ability to work on multiple projects at once
• Analytical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to interact with cross-functional teams

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position is between $43,500.00 and $87,500.00. Pay within this range depends on factors such as skills, education, experience and other unique qualifications. The position may also be eligible for short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements. This position is not eligible for Carrier benefits.
