About this role

The Power Electronics Engineering Intern will support the development, testing, and evaluation of electronic power conversion and motor control systems. The role offers hands-on work in laboratory testing, data analysis, troubleshooting, and technical documentation, working alongside experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Support design, testing and evaluation of power electronics and motor control systems.
• Assist with laboratory measurements, data collection, and analysis.
• Take part in troubleshooting and root-cause investigations.
• Contribute to technical documentation and engineering reports.
• Support component evaluations and design verification activities.
• Work with cross-functional engineering teams on product development tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Coursework in circuit analysis, electronics, embedded systems, controls, or power systems.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB design tools, or CAD software.
• Basic programming experience in C, C++, Python, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of microcontrollers, sensors, communication interfaces, or control systems.
• Interest in HVAC systems, building automation, connected products, or embedded electronics.

Other Compensation

This position may be eligible for short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements. This position is not eligible for Carrier benefits.
