Systems Engineer Intern

The Opportunity

The Summer Games is an internship program that draws some of the nation's strongest students. Its goal is to develop a breakthrough idea or solution for one of our customers' most pressing, complex, and multidimensional problems while building valuable technical skills. The program is competitive and collaborative, and it attracts thousands of applicants each year.

Modeled on a real-world startup accelerator, interns are divided into teams, with each team working on a different challenge project. Throughout the Games, interns receive mentorship from senior leaders, solve problems using Booz Allen's products and engagement models, and work together in a team environment.

The summer ends with a final Challenge Cup competition and a presentation to senior leadership. Past projects have included a solution to help blind individuals navigate using new technology along with a business and market penetration plan, and an app that gives military commanders an easy way to track real-time and open-source information about developing situations.

Clearance

Selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Work Model

Employees working virtually are generally expected to keep their cameras on during meetings to support collaboration. Remote positions may still require in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility, hybrid positions require work from a Booz Allen or customer facility as leadership expects, and onsite positions are performed primarily at a customer facility.

Commitment to Non-Discrimination

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to disability, protected veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable federal, state, local, or international law.
