Graduate Program Overview

If you are a recent or soon-to-be graduate, this program offers curated experiences, knowledge and connections to shape your career, with the training and support you need. Barclays welcomes applications from people from all walks of life.

Why the Sales, Trading and Structuring Graduate Program?

Barclays makes markets in nearly all major asset classes, providing timely solutions to clients. The Sales and Trading team works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, processing information quickly and anticipating market trends. Over your time as an analyst, you will build a solid understanding of global markets while developing communication, quantitative and analytical skills. After initial training, you will start as a salesperson or trader on a specific desk in one of the business areas, including Client Capital Management, Client Strategy, Commodities, Credit, eFICC Trading, Equities, Equity Financing, Foreign Exchange, Municipals, Rates and Structuring.

As a Sales analyst, you will start by supporting colleagues before taking on your own clients. You may analyse client needs and develop solutions, monitor markets and formulate trade ideas, perform fundamental and technical analyses, and attend client meetings or calls.

As a Trading analyst, you may monitor markets and generate trade ideas, take part in pricing products, help with daily tasks such as trade reporting or P&L analysis, and assist with managing risk on the team's trading books.
