The Job

This position requires in-person work Monday through Friday in Beaverton, Oregon, Boise, Idaho, or Spokane, Washington. Relocation expenses are not offered.

Marsh Agency is looking for an intellectual, motivated student to join the 2027 Summer Internship Program. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who wants a future career in risk management.

As an intern, you will work directly with a variety of teams and gain exposure across several functional departments, learning about client service, risk management, operations, sales, business analytics, and more. Interns work on projects designed to give hands-on experience developing solutions to real business problems.

What You Will Be Doing

• Real experience: You will gain practical, resume-building experience. By the end of the internship you will have a clearer view of career options and relevant work experience to get started.
• Partner with teams on creative, diverse projects that help develop and strengthen the Marsh Agency brand.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support the mission and vision of the department you are working in.
• Provide targeted support to directors, sales executives, and client relations staff to help grow new business and retention.
• Play an active role on the team by building positive relationships with colleagues, your manager, your mentor, and other interns.
• Learning opportunities: Attend national and regional classes that introduce you to the industry and the organization, designed to prepare you as an emerging professional.
• Build industry relationships by meeting a wide range of industry partners and growing your professional network.
• Paid internship: Interns are paid for their work. The hourly wage for this position is $18.85 per hour.
• Other responsibilities: Follow organization policies, procedures, sales and service standards, and established workflows. Ensure quality control through proper file documentation and maintenance, and maintain confidentiality.
