Job Description

Visa's Internship Program is a 12-week immersive experience where you will work on projects that advance Visa's mission. You will build connections, strengthen your communication and business skills, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, global environment.

The program includes interactive workshops and learning sessions to build expertise and professional skills, along with social events that foster community. The program ends with a final presentation where you will share your project results and recommendations with Visa leaders.

As a Business Planning Intern supporting the Demand Management function within Visa's Technology organization, you will help teams manage technology investments, hardware asset planning, financial analysis, and strategic decision-making. You will partner with business and technology stakeholders on budgeting, reporting, data analysis, and technology planning across a large-scale global environment.

This internship covers technology financial management, infrastructure planning, procurement processes, and data-driven business operations.

What You Will Do

• Support technology and business teams with planning, budgeting, and execution of strategic initiatives.
• Analyze data from multiple sources to create reports, dashboards, and business insights.
• Assist with tracking technology assets, deployments, and inventory management.
• Help evaluate technology demand requests and support business cases for infrastructure investments.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify cost optimization and operational efficiency opportunities.
• Contribute to budget forecasting, spend tracking, and financial reporting.
• Support presentations and recommendations for technology and business leaders.
• Take part in data analysis projects that inform purchasing and investment decisions.
• Gain exposure to technology procurement and financial governance practices.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, finance, and business teams on strategic initiatives.

Generative AI Responsibilities

• Use Generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms to support research, analysis, and reporting.
• Apply prompt engineering techniques to summarize information, analyze data, and develop business insights.
• Identify ways to improve workflows through AI-enabled automation.
• Assist with GenAI initiatives that support business planning, financial analysis, and operational reporting.

All Visa roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office each week; expectations for these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Work Hours and Travel

Work hours vary based on department needs. This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position is performed in an office setting. It requires sitting and standing at a desk, communicating in person and by phone, and frequently operating standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.
