The Systems Excellence Department in St. Petersburg, FL is looking for a motivated, innovative Systems Engineering Intern. You will contribute to every phase of the product development lifecycle, including systems and software requirements, system architecture and design, software integration and test, simulation, verification and sell-off. Systems engineering depends on collaboration with other systems and software engineers, with other engineering disciplines, and with program leadership and customers.

What You Will Do

• Work with a dedicated team that defines the requirements, design and architecture of subsystems in the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) product line, part of Advanced Networking Solutions (ANS).
• Take part in the systems development lifecycle, including trade studies, system design, requirements definition and allocation, requirements traceability, systems integration, and verification testing and qualification.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to meet program milestones.

What You Will Learn

• Build technical experience with mentorship and access to established engineers in the Systems Excellence Department.
• Work directly with CEC subject matter experts, customer teams and cross-functional integrated product teams.
• Learn algorithm development, system-level design and system-level modeling using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), with exposure to a range of products in a changing field.

This is an onsite role, so you will work primarily at the office. Candidates may also be asked to attend some interview steps in person.
