Are you ready to explore aerospace and defense? RTX internships, co-ops and full-time careers offer a strong foundation for solving complex problems, building your skills and helping create a safer, more connected world.
The F135 Engine Core Upgrade (ECU) Program modernizes the propulsion system for the F-35 to support the aircraft's upgraded Block 4 capabilities. Within the program, the Engine Design & Systems Integration (ED&SI) organization develops and certifies military, commercial and industrial gas turbine engines. The team integrates components, modules and subsystems into propulsion systems, covering engine performance, operability, system-level modeling and simulation, validation and verification, and control requirements.
As an intern, you will work under the guidance of a more experienced engineer on the following:
This role gives you hands-on experience in aero-thermal analysis of air-breathing propulsion systems, with a focus on system performance and operability. You will also work closely with the Pratt & Whitney engineering development team.
Engineering interns at Pratt & Whitney work on challenging, meaningful projects across the business. The intern program helps you understand the aerospace industry and learn about the company and its operations.
