Job Description

Parsons is seeking motivated engineering students for its Summer 2027 Bridge Engineering Internship in the Seattle office. You will gain exposure to producing drawings and calculations for the design of highway and rail bridge structures.

What You Will Be Doing

• Use CAD to prepare engineering plans, sections and details from sketches and other general design information.
• Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations needed for drawing preparation.
• Learn various standards and codes, and apply them to check designs for compliance with applicable criteria.

Required Skills

• Enrolled in a Civil Engineering curriculum at an accredited college or university.

Desired Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of structural analysis software
• Completed courses in structural analysis, steel or concrete design, geotechnical engineering, or similar subjects
