Job Description

Parsons is looking for a talented 2027 Structural Summer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will handle a range of basic to moderately difficult assignments under the direction of a degreed engineer.

What You'll Be Doing

Working under a registered structural engineer, you will provide engineering support on basic to moderate assignments. This requires a working knowledge of design and drafting standards, practices, and techniques in structural engineering. You will take engineering notes, specifications, rough sketches and structural calculations, and turn them into reports, structural calculations and structural drawings.

Required Skills

You should have fundamental technical knowledge of structural engineering and typically have completed 3+ years of studies. You must be enrolled in a Civil or Structural Engineering curriculum at an accredited college or university. Coursework typically includes structural analysis and structural design in concrete, steel, masonry and wood.

Desired Skills

Experience performing structural engineering calculations in line with building codes and creating drawings with Revit or BIM is a plus.
