Civil Engineering Intern Troy MI

Parsons is accepting applications for a Civil Engineering Co-op/Intern Student to work on major infrastructure projects in Troy, Michigan and nearby regions. We are looking for Spring or Summer 2027 availability.

Parsons brings extensive experience in this field. We need interns who are versatile, enthusiastic about flexible, team-oriented environments, and strong in communication, analytical and organizational skills.

Under the direction of a degreed engineer, you will handle basic to moderately difficult engineering support assignments. At this level, the co-op student works on design drawings, figures, specifications, calculations and reports, which builds practical knowledge of civil engineering projects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist with a variety of civil engineering tasks for transportation and remediation design projects
• Help develop design drawings and write technical specifications
• Help perform engineering calculations that support design projects
• Help write design reports and technical memorandums
• Work effectively and collaboratively with the project team
• May take part in field work such as taking measurements or photographs
• Implement behavior-based safety tools to achieve incident-free operations (no personal injuries, property damage or environmental releases) for both the client and Parsons
