Summer 2027 Subsystems Design Internship

This internship is designed to help you build new skills, explore the enterprise, network with experts and leave with a resume that opens doors. Training is provided, and interns also gain experience in executive presence, technical leadership, mentoring and coaching.

The intern will join the Space Systems Sector in Linthicum, MD. You will support antenna design engineering, which may include design, analysis or testing of space payloads, electronically scanned antennas, mixed-signal electronics, or antenna and electronics subcomponents. Typical duties include antenna performance pattern modeling, phased array antenna architecture design, RF budget analysis, radiator or printed circuit design, simulation and analysis, acceptance and design verification testing, and data analysis.

Basic Qualifications

• Be a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university, and be enrolled full time in Fall 2027
• Be majoring in or have majored in a STEM field
• Be available to work full-time on-site (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027
• Be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.7 out of 4.0 or higher
• Previous internship or co-op experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and professional, community or extracurricular activities

Intern Pay Range

• Bachelor's: $25.50 to $31.00 per hour
• Master's: $36.25 to $38.00 per hour

Pay rates are standardized based on expected graduation date, local labor costs and whether the internship is technical or administrative.
