The Presales Engineering Team applies our Public Safety ecosystem of technologies, including Critical Communications, Video Security and the Command Center, from ideation to creation and challenge to resolution. Our solutions enable collaboration between public safety agencies and enterprises.

The Presales Engineering Group is the technical core of the Sales Organization. Our solutions architects and systems engineers hold the technology and design responsibility for all sales support engagements nationwide.

Job Description

The Presales Systems Engineer (Internship) will work closely with our Communication Systems Engineers, who design radio communication solutions from conceptual phases through implementation to meet customer requirements. You will help consult with customers to determine their needs and design the best solution. Senior Engineers support colleagues in building individual and group competencies, including mentoring junior systems engineers. We expect engineers to act as professionals and take responsibility for their own development, including the professional and technical skills needed to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Work with sales, product development and project management to develop technical strategies and create proposals that present Motorola's solutions to customers.
• Coordinate the design and planning of customer solutions using advanced technologies, and provide technical support throughout the pre-sales phase.
• Take part in coverage and antenna site selection, frequency planning, interference analysis, system architecture design, equipment selection, proposal generation and presentations to customers.
• Help implement solutions as originally conceived.
• Take responsibility for all technical aspects of assigned projects from award through system acceptance.
• Support implementation planning, system acceptance testing, coverage testing and system staging.
• Keep sales professionals and customers up to date on the latest Motorola Solutions technology and its relevance to customer needs.
