Job Description

The Presales System Engineer (Internship) will work closely with our Communication Systems Engineers, who design radio communication solutions from concept through implementation to meet customer requirements. Together they consult with customers to understand their needs and design the best solution. Senior engineers support their colleagues in building individual and group competencies, including mentoring junior system engineers. We expect engineers to act as professionals and take ownership of their development, including the professional and technical skills needed to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Work with sales, product development and project management to develop technical strategies and create proposals that present Motorola's solutions to customers.
• Coordinate the design and planning of customer solutions using advanced technologies, and provide technical support throughout the pre-sales phase.
• Support coverage and antenna site selection, frequency planning, interference analysis, system architecture design, equipment selection, proposal creation and solution presentations to customers.
• Help implement solutions as originally designed.
• Own all technical aspects of assigned projects from award through system acceptance.
• Support implementation planning, system acceptance testing, coverage testing and system staging.
• Keep sales professionals and customers informed about the latest Motorola Solutions technology and how it fits customer needs.
