The Job

This position requires in-person work Monday through Friday in Yakima, Washington. Relocation expenses are not offered.

Marsh Agency is looking for an motivated student to join its 2027 Summer Internship Program. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who wants to build a future career in risk management.

Interns work directly with a variety of teams and rotate through functional departments to learn about client service, risk management, operations, sales, business analytics and more. Interns take on projects that offer hands-on experience solving real business problems.

Marsh Agency provides mentorship, training, resources and development to support your success, but you will need to bring the ambition. Colleagues aim for excellence and work to do what is best for their clients and each other.

What You Will Be Doing

• Gain real experience: This is not a coffee-fetching role. You will build real resume experience and leave with a clearer view of career options.
• Partner with teams on creative projects that help develop the Marsh Agency brand.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support the mission and vision of the department you work in.
• Support directors, sales executives and client relations staff with targeted assistance that strengthens new business and retention.
• Take an active role on the team by building positive relationships with colleagues, your manager, your mentor and fellow interns.
• Learn through national and regional classes that introduce you to the industry and the organization, preparing you as an emerging professional.
• Build industry relationships by meeting a wide range of industry partners.
• Get paid for your work through a paid internship.
• Follow standards: follow organization policies, sales and service standards and established workflows, maintain quality control through file documentation and keep information confidential.
