The Job

This position requires in-person work Monday through Friday in Spokane, Washington. Relocation expenses are not offered.

Marsh Agency is looking for an intellectual and motivated student to join its 2027 Summer Internship Program. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who wants to build a future career in risk management.

As an intern, you will work directly with a variety of teams and gain exposure across functional departments, learning about client service, risk management, operations, sales, business analytics and more. Interns work on projects designed to give hands-on experience in developing solutions for real-world business problems.

What You Will Be Doing

• Gain real experience: You will build practical, resume-worthy experience and leave with a clearer view of career options.
• Partner with teams on creative, diverse projects that help develop and strengthen the Marsh Agency brand.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support the mission and vision of the department you are working in.
• Provide specific support to directors, sales executives and client relations staff to grow new business and retention.
• Take an active role on the team by maintaining positive relationships and building your network with your manager, mentor and fellow interns.
• Attend learning opportunities, including national and regional classes that introduce you to the industry and the organization.
• Build industry relationships by meeting a wide range of industry partners.
• Paid internship: Interns are paid for their work at an hourly wage of $18.85 per hour.
• Follow standards: Follow organization policies, procedures, sales and service standards and established workflows. Ensure quality control through accurate file documentation and maintenance, and keep information confidential.
