About the Internship

Please note this position requires you to work in-person Monday through Friday in Missoula, Helena, or Butte, Montana. We do not offer relocation expenses.

Marsh Agency is looking for an intellectual and motivated student for its 2027 Summer Internship Program. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who wants to build a future career in risk management.

As an intern, you will work directly with a variety of teams and gain exposure across functional departments, learning about client service, risk management, operations, sales, business analytics, and more. Interns work on projects designed to give hands-on experience in solving real-world business problems.

What You Will Be Doing

• Real experience: You will gain practical, resume-building experience. By the end of the internship you will have a clearer view of career options and relevant work experience.
• Partner with teams on creative projects that help develop and strengthen the Marsh Agency brand.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support the mission and vision of the department you are working in.
• Provide targeted support to directors, sales executives, and client relations staff to help grow new business and retention.
• Play an active role on the team by building positive relationships with colleagues, your manager, your mentor, and other interns.
• Learning opportunities: Take part in national and regional classes that introduce you to the industry and the organization.
• Build industry relationships by meeting a wide range of industry partners.
• Paid internship: Interns are paid for their work at an hourly wage of $18.85 per hour.
• Day-to-day responsibilities: Follow organization policies, procedures, sales and service standards, and established workflows. Support quality control through accurate file documentation and maintenance, and keep client information confidential.
