Marsh Hiring Workforce & Rewards Summer Intern (Washington DC)

We are looking for a talented intern to join the Workforce and Rewards team within Marsh's People and Investments business. This role is based in Washington DC and follows a hybrid model that requires working in the office at least three days a week.

Marsh People and Investments helps organizations design and carry out workforce strategies, whether for a multinational company or a local business growing in its market. The team offers consulting, rigorous analytics, and data-driven insights that support fact-based decisions.

As a Summer Analyst Intern, you will support client engagements across industries as a member of project teams. You will help diagnose client challenges and contribute to strategic talent solutions across Rewards, HR Transformation, Talent Strategy, Workforce Planning and Analytics, and Communications. The role combines research, modeling, and problem solving with client interaction, working alongside senior clients and internal experts in a collaborative, learning-focused setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on industry and organization-specific issues, including business strategy, corporate performance, compensation and rewards practices, and opportunities across talent management, HR service delivery, and HR transformation.
• Collect and examine data to develop solutions tailored to client needs.
• Analyze clients' strategic, financial, and organizational information to provide insights for senior members of the project team.
• Work in an environment that embraces AI and technology-enabled tools.
• Take part in team problem-solving sessions to shape practical solutions for client challenges.
• Help build presentations, reports, and recommendations that turn analysis into actionable client solutions.

Preferred Qualities

• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of data analysis, storytelling with data, and presentation design.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Intellectual curiosity and a drive to develop new skills.
• Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail.
