2027 Summer Internship, Trust Services ($18-$28/hr)

Overview

Summer Interns complete a 10-week internship focused on professional development, career growth and building the skills needed to succeed. You will take part in projects and department initiatives that support career growth and help shape the future of the Bank.

Interns also gain exposure to other departments through guest speakers and industry leaders, and build a network with peers. Interns receive priority consideration for full-time opportunities throughout the Bank.

Department Description

Wilmington Trust is a nationally recognized leader in fiduciary services. Wealth Management Trust Services administers generations of family wealth within personal trusts on behalf of M&T Bank, Wilmington Trust, NA, and Wilmington Trust Company as trustee.

Individual Trust Officers, working in line with Wilmington Trust's policies and procedures, are a core part of the firm's heritage of fiduciary responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities

• Complete duties and responsibilities of an entry-level professional nature in your assigned area of the Bank.
• Make sure activities follow internal policies and external regulations as applicable.
• Understand and follow the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in line with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues that need to be escalated to management.
• Design, implement, maintain and improve internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. Identify risk-related issues that need to be escalated to management.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities
