Systems Engineer Intern, Fort Worth

This internship places you in a technical or engineering organization during breaks from college while you are enrolled in an accredited degree program. Assignments may cover areas such as electronics, software, facilities or manufacturing engineering.

At Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, the 2027 Summer Systems Engineer Intern will work as a Systems Engineer on the F-16/FA-50 System Integration and Test (SI&T) team. The team performs avionics system level testing for all F-16 and FA-50 upgrades and new production aircraft. This covers integration testing and formal verification in desktop and lab environments, along with support for flight test.

Successful candidates will bring experience or knowledge of the systems engineering process, data analysis, problem identification and isolation, and troubleshooting.

Work Conditions

• The role requires physically moving into aircraft cockpit test fixtures and conducting lab testing during typical 6-hour test shifts.
• Second or third shift work may be needed to support program and lab schedules.
• The position is located at a facility that requires special access and a government security clearance.
