Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Software engineer. Candidates should be proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position. In this role you will design, develop, integrate and test new apps, and work in product teams to deliver mission processing apps to operational software baselines. The work has a direct impact on real-world operations and national security. The ideal candidate has experience or knowledge of real-time development environments and languages (C, C++), embedded software/hardware, and Agile methodology.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating and carrying out software development activities. You will design, develop, document, test and debug software that provides logical and mathematical solutions to business and mission problems. Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools across the development life cycle. Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile program documentation, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output, input data, programming techniques and controls. Make sure software standards are met.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with real-time development environments and languages (C, C++).
• Experience or classroom knowledge with embedded software/hardware.
• Knowledge of or experience with Agile methodology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
