Job Description

KLA is seeking Mechatronics Interns for Summer 2027 at its Ann Arbor, Michigan location. This internship offers the chance to work with engineering teams to improve the performance and capabilities of KLA's inspection and metrology tools.

Interns will contribute to projects involving the design and development of hardware and/or software systems to evaluate mechatronics performance. You will work alongside other interns and engineers on a focused component of a larger initiative. Commonly used tools include Python, CAD and FEA.

Desired Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have academic or hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:

• CAD design
• Control systems
• Finite element analysis
• Python scripting
• Data acquisition and visualization

Experience or interest in hardware design is a plus. Strong analytical skills are essential. KLA is especially interested in candidates who plan to return to graduate school in Fall 2027 to complete a master's degree.
