Job Description/Responsibilities

KLA is looking for high-energy interns for several projects this coming summer at its Ann Arbor, Michigan location. You will gain hands-on experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and help develop sub-components for KLA's inspection and metrology tools. You will work independently and as part of a team with other interns and engineers on one aspect of a larger project.

You will design, document, and procure parts for stand-alone test fixtures and tools. The work is team-based and involves collaborating with engineers and interns from disciplines such as electrical engineering, optical engineering, and computer science. You will create 3D CAD models of parts and assemblies, prepare engineering documentation, and perform basic analytical modeling. You will also assemble and test your designs in a laboratory environment.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates have taken classes in mechanical design and manufacturing and have basic knowledge of CAD software. Experience with PTC Creo and Ansys is a plus. You should have strong analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, along with perseverance and the ability to work collaboratively with people across different functions and locations.
